“La Testuggine” is the italian name of the Tortoise…

The iconic Voight-Kampff Test scene in Blade Runner inspired the name of the studio. It's the first scene where we get a glimpse of the psychotic nature of "Nexus-6" replicants.

Holden: You look down and see a tortoise, Leon. It’s crawling toward you…
Leon: Tortoise? What’s that?
Holden: You know what a turtle is?
Leon: Of course!
Holden: Same thing.
